gonzo Posted July 2, 2014 ID:848508 Share Posted July 2, 2014 As an older person, I think I can say no. The reason you didn't find your posts if because you likely looked under "Topics" and not "Posts'. You posted on someone else's Topic. Your posts are here: https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?/topic/150712-shielded-apps-counter-not-counting-a-protected-application/?view=findpost&p=842055https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?/topic/150712-shielded-apps-counter-not-counting-a-protected-application/?view=findpost&p=842058 They are both in the same thread, and someone also responded to you on the same day. daledoc1 Posted July 2, 2014 ID:848517 Share Posted July 2, 2014 Thanks for your reply and sorry for the mistake.I use WinAmp daily,is the bug is in the pipe to be fixed?,thanks for any info. We're working on fixing this soon. First there will be a 1.04 release and after that we'll work on fixing the counter further. In the meantime you shouldn't worry if the counter says 0. WinAmp is still protected. You can verify it using this technique.https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?/topic/150712-shielded-apps-counter-not-counting-a-protected-application/#entry848366
gonzo Posted July 2, 2014 ID:848520 Share Posted July 2, 2014 grandpa1948, Adding to what daledoc1 said, the count of shielded applications is incorrect. I've noted that myself. daledoc1 referenced the testing method in the post right above this one which allows you to see that WinAmp is shielded. Pedro will get it fixed (and soon)...he's very conscientious about his code.
Staff pbust Posted July 2, 2014 Staff ID:848534 Share Posted July 2, 2014 Hi grandpa1948, as daledoc1 and gonzo said above, I merged your post with an existing thread covering the same topic after answering it. In addition to the methods shown by them, by default the forum will also send you an email when there is a response to your post, with a link to the post. That link in the email with my response should take you automatically to the location of your post.
