Having problems with MBAM 2

Recommended Posts

I have the same problem.  I've used MBAM for a long time.  I allowed the program to update a few weeks ago and experienced the C++ runtime error.  I did the clean uninstall/reinstall.  Same problem.

I thought I'd give it another go today.  The install appears to go normally.  When I start MBAM, it fails with the C++ error and closes.

Also XP/SP3 but this machine has been in use so it's as updated as XP can be.

Is there anyway to use an older version until this problem is sorted?  MBAM has always been one of my favorites because it installs cleanly and doesn't hog system resources if it's not being run.

Hello and :welcome: :

Your post appears to have been split off from another member's thread.

I understand that you have tried a reinstall once before?

However, just to be sure the recommended steps were followed, I would suggest starting again one more time with this routine troubleshooting, please:

Thanks,
