Update replaced the version I paid for

Recommended Posts

Hi:

If you had a valid, licensed version of MBAM PRO 1.x on this same computer, then, no, there is no need to pay again.

Your lifetime, 1-PC license for 1.x would have been automatically migrated to a similar license for 2.0.

There are many helpful articles about it here: What does Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 2.0 mean for me?

If you did a clean install of version 2, you may have missed the opportunity to opt-out of the free trial of MBAM 2 Premium.

However, you should still be able to "activate" or by clicking the "already have a license link", without paying again, using the same license ID & key for version 1.

(If you want, you can click the link to "End Free Trial" in the GUI or the "End Trial" link in the popup notification.)

See here: How do I activate Malwarebytes Anti-Malware?

If you would like to start over, with a clean upgrade to version 2, the steps are explained here: MBAM Clean Removal Process 2x

Please let us know if you need further help.

Thanks,
