I think I have Malware but can't delete the problem?

Recommended Posts

On my Google Chrome I can only browse on a few certain websites like Gmail, Google, Malwarebytes, Yahoo, etc. But when I try accessing other websites it tells me it is not available. My Internet Explorer is working just fine so I expected that my Chrome is infected and ran Malwarebytes through my computer. It came up with 300 something infected files and I chose to delete them all. I checked the log and it said for some of them were quarantined and deleted and others said to reboot to delete. After closing the log I rebooted my computer and ran Malwarebytes again and 217 infected files were found. I put my computer in safemode, ran Malwarebytes chose to delete them and rebooted my computer again then ran Malwarebytes again in normal mode. 214 infected files were found and I tried to delete them several times through Malwarebytes but they are still there. The files say to reboot to delete in the logs but they won't delete after the reboot. I've also ran Avast over my computer but it hasn't really helped. I've attached the newest log that I scanned where I haven't done anything to the infected files and another where I chose to delete them all after the first log. I don't know if those help any.

Please run a Quick Scan with Malwarebytes (if possible)

For Malwarebytes ver: 1.75

Open up Malwarebytes > Settings Tab > Scanner Settings > Under action for PUP > Select: Show in Results List and Check for removal.

Please Update and run a Quick Scan with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, post the report.

Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.

For Malwarebytes 2.0, please run a Threat Scan

Click on Settings > Detection and Protection > Non-Malware Protection > PUP (Potentially Unwanted Program) detections > Make sure it's set to Treat detections as malware

Same for PUM (Potentially Unwanted Modifications)

Quarantine all that's found

Post the log

Then......

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (FRST) and save it to a folder.
