Can't install free version

Recommended Posts

I'm a small home and office IT guy and long time Malwarebytes user. Have 3 licensed copies myself.

I always install Malwarebytes free when setting up a new PC for a customer, telling them after they try it the benefits of the paid Premium version.

Somehow the Premium trial got installed on a couple of PCs and I tried to install the new 2.0 version AFTER uninstalling the trial version.

However, with each new install, it opens as the trial version expired.

I'm sure there's some full uninstaller I can use or some registry entries I have to delete.

This is on about 3 different customers. (Potential Premium if I can get them working on the new free version.

Thanks,

Pete

There's only one uninstallation method that takes care of that.  You need to download our "mbam clean" utility from:

http://downloads.malwarebytes.org/file/mbam_clean

Its a command line utility, and it will take care of the uninstallation properly.  You can then reinstall and it will be as you expect it to be.
