Moving Malware Pro to New Computer

I got a new computer and I want to move my Malwarebytes I bought to my new computer or add it to my new computer. I contacted the company and the answer they sent doesn't seem to have anything to do with my problem. All their instruction did was load a trial version on my new computer.

 

Can anyone advise what I need to do?

Before I can answer that, I need to ask what company gave you that answer.  The answer to that question makes a difference as to what I need to tell you.

OK.  I have a point of reference now.  There are two possible answers here, and you will know which one is right for you.

 

IF YOU BOUGHT A LIFETIME (ONE COMPUTER) LICENSE:

  • Locate the email which you received from Malwarebytes (or Cleverbridge) which contains a License ID and Key. You will need that to activate Premium features on your new computer. If you no longer have that email, you will need to contact cs@cleverbridge.com to make sure that you have that license information. If you do need to contact Cleverbridge, you must tell them the email address you used when you purchased the product.
  • Once you have the license handy, you must uninstall Malwarebytes from the old computer using the link below. This will allow you to move your license from the old computer to the new one.  If you wish, you can later download and install the free/trial version for the old computer.

  • Download and install the free/trial version for the new computer.
  • On the new computer, activate the Premium features using your license ID and Key.

IF YOU BOUGHT A SUBSCRIPTION (THREE-COMPUTER) LICENSE:

  • Locate the email which you received from Malwarebytes (or Cleverbridge) which contains a License ID and Key. You will need that to activate Premium features on your new computer. If you no longer have that email, you will need to contact cs@cleverbridge.com to make sure that you have that license information. If you do need to contact Cleverbridge, you must tell them the email address you used when you purchased the product.
  • Download and install the free/trial version for the new computer.
  • On the new computer, activate the Premium features using your license ID and Key.

What you were told is partially right, but the steps I have given you here will keep you protected, and if you have the first license type mentioned here, will also keep you from getting blacklisted.
