The answer is yes. You should enter in Malwarebytes Anti-Malware exclusions:

C:\Program Files\AVAST Software\*   (Since AVAST has installed in Vista's 64-bit directory)

Think I've added that exclusion ok but am unsure as to what relevant data you found!

I found in your diagnostic logs that your version of AVAST has at least one executable in a sub-directory making the "\*" addition to your exclusion entry relevant.

All exclusions now added so I will see how the computer behaves starting with a quick avast scan now. Thanks for the help given.
