Unable to run/update since Upgrade

Hello,

 

Since the upgrade, the program crashes whenever it tries to update.

 

I have uninstalled and reinstalled; did the clean uninstall (mbam-clean-2.0.2.0.exe) with reboot and installed with mbam-setup-2.0.2.1012.exe to a new location.

 

Still had the same issue, so I cleaned the registry with Tune-up Utilities in case there was something still lingering, but no joy.

Maybe they can figure out why I can't update to Windows 8.1 as well...
