Mbam cleaner does not uninstall properly

My friend has the premium version of Malwarebytes and has a licence key. However, her MWB said it had a corrupt database. She downloaded the mbam clean tool and ran it, rebooted her computer and re-installed MWB. However, it did not remove her licence key like it said it would and everything was still there and all her original settings.  Anyways, it worked for about a week and then it did the same thing again, corrupt database, so she has once again used the clean tool and then re-installed MWB. It won't remove her licence key and keeps all her settings and she thinks it will probably go corrupt again in about another week.  Can you please tell us why this is not working and how to fix it?  Her computer was put back to the factory image and then everything was installed from scratch, so she can't have a virus. You would need to tell us what version of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware she is using, and what the exact filename of the mbam clean tool is that she has.  We have recently released Malwarebytes Anti-Malware version 2.0, and the NEW version of the clean tool supports both the old (1.75) version and the new version (2.0).  The OLD version of the clean tool only supports Malwarebytes Anti-Malware version through version 1.75.  Getting that clarified may provide an easy answer.
