Chrome often opens random pages without reason

Hi,

 

I'm running Windows 8.1  on a Notebook HP

Yesterday I installed a program that turned out to be a buch of mini scam programs. I uninstalled all of them but now Google Chrome seems to open random pages without reason, so I assume that I got some sort of virus.

 

I tried to re-install chrome but that didn't solve the problem.

 

Can anybody help? I'd be very grateful.
