Malicious Web Blocking Battle.net

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

First off the latest version of Malwarebytes is doing much better. I like that a lot of the bugs were fixed. I have one question though. I decided to download Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2 again from my battle.net application. I am on a fresh install of Windows 7. Diablo 3 downloaded fine. Starcraft 2 also download just fine but I stopped the download about 25% of the way in to download some games off steam. When I started the Starcraft 2 download again I started receiving Malicious Website Blocked messages from Malwarebytes. This continued to happen even after exiting out of Battle.net application and opening it back up and signing on again. Here is what they have been so far:

I have read similar posts where this has been happening but the one thing that bothers me the most is the IP Addresses. When I googled them I got information that they were out of Lagos, Nigeria. Both are associated with spam and the 41.203.69.3 is associated with a group named Globacom Ltd. Should I be worried here? I know Malwarebytes did block them and the download still remained intact but it just seems a bit odd to me. Anyone have any advice?

For everyone out there with this problem I would highly suggest that you DO NOT add the agent.exe to your exclusion list if you have this problem. The issue is within the battle.net app. To resolve this issue just go into your options and uncheck the peer to peer option. This will download the game from blizzard and will not route your connection thorugh other IP addresses in effort to get you the game quicker. I did not notice a slower download time so do not worry about that. The game actually downloaded a lot quicker for me with peer to peer off. Most of all I recived no notifications from Malwarebytes. Hope this helps anyone having this problem.
