false pop-up

whenever my computer is idle for a few minutes, I get a pop-up in the bottom right hand corner of my screen that appears to be an AMB pop-up telling me that an update is available for AMB.  It is a false message.  I have to close it about nine times before it stops appearing.  It will spontaneously appear as I use my computer, but then I only have to close it once.  I have run AMB more than once and it finds nothing.  What is this and how do I get rid of it?
