Hyperscan takes forever

I have MBAM 2.0.2.1012 and the Hyperscan takes over an hour.  I used the mbam-cleaner and reinstalled per instructions.  Rebooted, etc. and the Hyperscan is still forever.  Longer than a full scan, actually.

Anyone familiar with this and what can I do to fix?

An easy thing to check:

It's possible that your AV or firewall might be treating the new build as a new program and may be blocking it -- the files that need to be excluded can be found HERE. Please post back if you need help with that.

 

EDIT: FWIW, neither Hyper scan nor "Full" system scan is recommended or necessary routinely. The Threat scan is the most important one.

But, having said that.....

If those suggestions don't resolve your issue, please try these steps -- as you mention that you've already tried a clean reinstall, you might want to start with step #2 (logs):

• Please uninstall your current version of MBAM and reinstall the latest build - MBAM Clean Removal Process 2x
• If that does not correct the issue, then please read the following and post back the requested logs - Diagnostic Logs
