[SOLVED] LibreOffice

Hello,

I have what I hope is a Logs tab bug. I added LibreOffice to my custom shields using soffice.exe. When I check to see if mbae.dll has been injected into that process using Process Hacker, it has, but nothing ever shows in the logs as LibreOffice being protected. I assume that I do have protection in this case and it is not being logged for some reason. I also am new to LibreOffice and it seems that all of the different components (writer, calc, etc.) are the same process soffice.exe. Have I set this up correctly and am I indeed protected?

Actually they are separate programs launched from a common source.

Looking at;  C:\Program Files\LibreOffice 4\program

You'll see... ( sorted by File Type )

So SWRITER.EXE is the WordProcessor, SCALC.EXE is the SpreadSheet, etc.

Hello David,

Thanks for that bit of information. LibreOffice and its processes are a bit strange. When I launch LibreOffice via the installed icon on the desktop, soffice.exe is launched with a child of soffice.bin. Now I click on Writer, it starts in the same window but the process swriter.exe is not showing in task manager. Now if I go to the start menu > all programs and launch Writer from there, swriter.exe launches with a child of soffice.exe and that with a child of soffice.bin. So it appears that it depends on how you launch it as to what processes run. I added all of the individual processes along with the soffice.exe I had originally added. The mbae.dll is being injected into all of them but still nothing ever appears in the logs. Strange...

Hello Pedro,

Thanks for the clarification. LibreOffice is a bit different in it process structure than most office software. It was definitely on the confusing side trying to configure it within MBAE. Going back now and removing the processed that I had added for it and adding only soffice.bin...
