Several problems

Recommended Posts

I emailed MBAM help yesterday and got a reply that it would take 3 - 4 days to get an answer. Figured I'd try this forum for some help in the meantime.

When I switched on ym computer yesterday my MBAM wouldn't work and I had the following prolbems:-

1) When attempting to update, Malwarebytes says it cannot access the update server.

2) Real-time protection is active, but malicious website protection isn't.

3) Malwarebytes settings are all screwed up and won't stay set.

Any help out there, please?

The logs indicate that multiple processes are crashing or not running correctly including your NETGEARGenieDaemon and MBAM and others.

You also have an Alternate Data Stream on a file which is rare for most users.

I would suggest following the advice from the topic here Available Assistance for Possibly Infected Computers and having one of the Experts assist you with looking into your issue.

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for the info. I'm surprised to hear about the NETGEARGenieDaemon as I no longer have Netgear Genie installed.

I don't have a clue what you mean by Alternate Data Stream on a file so ... I can't even reply to that one!

I am currently running a scan after following instructions about the Chameleon thing.
