questions Posted June 10, 2014 ID:840084 Share Posted June 10, 2014 from daledoc1: "MBAM is designed and tested to work alongside al of major, popular AVs" (answer to blackstone250 / Webroot Secure Anywhere;bad performance) from AdvancedSetup, the same topic: "...looking at Webroot site it looks like your product is not available for me to test it out" I thought that MBAM was already tested to work alongside WSA, but seems like somebody just now is looking for a trial version to test it out... Just noticing... Thanks!
David H. Lipman Posted June 10, 2014 ID:840087 Share Posted June 10, 2014 Every software vendor puts out new versions at different periods in time. A test performed with AV Software Vendor Version A may not be valid with AV Software Vendor Version B. Additionally, "performance" may not be a factor in a test while compatibility is. Performance is often subjective and there are variables that have to be base-lined for a performance test and a subsequent quantifiable report. David H. Lipman Posted June 10, 2014 ID:840107 Share Posted June 10, 2014 In this aspect whether MBAM is an AV or an AM is a moot point. As for "...getting a license from "somebody" to test WSA doesn't look professional" is absurd. The fact that an employee is willing to go to the nth degree to discern a quality/performance concern is the mark of a true professional.
