Malwarebytes won't update database

I have been getting a message in the lower left on my Windows 7 that the Malwarebytes database is out of date. I keep clicking a button do do the update but the message will pop up again in a few hours. I launched Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Premium and it says "! Your databases are out of date". I click on "Fix Now >>" but although the button depresses, nothing seems to happen.

A couple of easy things to check -- first, please be sure your system date/time are correct and that your AV and firewall both give MBAM full permissions. It's possible that your AV or firewall might be treating the new build as a new program and may be blocking it -- the files that need to be excluded can be found HERE. Please post back if you need help with doing that.

Also: have you recently run a scan that resulted in detections (such as non-malware PUPs or PUMss) for which your action is needed -- e.g. to Quarantine the items?  If so, then those "Detected Threats" need to be taken care of first, to allow the program to update.

If those suggestions don't resolve your issue:
