     Dear Sirs,

Under my detection and protection file, I have it set up under detection and protection option to scan for rootkits.  Under my scanned history lig it shows that my rootkits are disabled.  Why does it do this?  Is there another place that I need to check to scan for rootkits?  Please help.

Hi:

Yes, there are 2 places.

If you go into your Automated Scheduling > select the schedule scan task > edit > advanced options > there's another place to enable ARK > OK.

Note: If you have a hard drive that is encrypted with anything OTHER THAN TrueCrypt, please leave ARK disabled.  It is only supported if the drive is encrypted with TC.  (Of course, if the drive is unencrypted, it will be fine. The problem is only with encrypted drives.)

Hope this helps,
