Need help on premium installation that I have paid for

Recommended Posts

I purchased Malwarbytes premium on 4/18/2014 for my older computer. It went out almost immediately after I installed the premium program, so I had to order a new Dell computer. When it arrived, I installed the premium download, but the operating system broke down and Dell techs could not help me fix it on the phone ... called them, and had a replacement sent. Guess what? The replacement after I installed the premium program had the audio go out, so Dell had to send me ANOTHER replacement. the THIRD new Dell unit works okay, but I cannot install the premium download because they say that I have used the three license downloads, but it has been through no fault of my own. I have sent this message to Malwarebytes already two times, and can get no response for help from them. Any ideas?

Hi:

Wow -- it sounds as if you've had a stroke of really bad luck with Dell. :(

(I've never had a problem with 10 Dell rigs over the years)

(Just curious -- were these refurbished machines?)

Unfortunately, I don't think there's anything we can do here at this user forum to resolve it directly.

Licensing and activation can only be handled by the Customer Support Team.

They are probably rather busy now, so I would suggest that you try to be patient until they can sort it out..

In the interim, you can use the 14-day trial of MBAM PREMIUM on the new computer.

Thanks,

Nope. All three have been NEW Dell units with the first having a bad operating system, and the second having no audio. Being made in China and assembled in Mexico might have something to do with it, as this is my fifth Dell unit. It works well, but I used up licenses on Microsoft Word, Norton 360, and Malwarebytes because of poor Dell quality control and having to install on so many bad units.

Hi:

Well, that sounds like quite a negative experience, to be sure. :(

As I mentioned, unfortunately, this isn't something we can resolve here at the user forum.

Please be patient and stay with your help desk ticket.

In the interim, the 14-day PREMIUM Trial will give you full protection.

Thanks,

Patience seems to be the name of my "game" lately ..... three computers from Dell before I get one that works, having to contact Norton to get my license reinstated after so many downloads on the bad Dell units, having to contact Microsoft to get my Office download okayed because of that many downloads on the bad Dell units, and now I have been waiting two days to hear back from Malwarebytes on their license for the premium download. Makes me want to go back to pen and paper. Dear Lord, give me patience, and give it to me now!

I hear ya' and I wish I could help.

I've never heard of 3 bad computers in a row, but I suppose anything is possible these days.

For the record, I presume that you did not have a chance to properly remove MBAM PREMIUM from any of the 3 rigs that went South?

It's not the number of DOWNLOADS that counts, but the number of ACTIVATIONS.

If you uninstalled using the removal tool, then your license info would have been removed from that computer, giving you back 1 activation.

Have your tried to install and activate it on the 4th, new system?

If so, do you get an error message?

If so, can you please post a screenshot of the error message you see when you try to activate?

Thanks,

Yaaaa Hooo! I'm made whole again. My ID and key worked this time on Malwarebytes premium. It has been an odyssey for the last month. Uninstalling my data and reinstalling it in three dell computers, then getting license extensions from Microsoft, Norton, and Malwarebytes because I used all of them up on the faulty dell units. Feel like someone that has been awakened from a nightmare with all the technical agents that I had to talk to, and all the work done beneath my desk. Free at last. Thank the Lord, I'm free at last!
