Malwarebytes not working since update

I have been using Malwarebytes for a couple of months and I think it is great. However, since the update, I have not been able to get it to work. I have clicked on the icon for it to start but is not opening, so that I may be able to scan my computer. I have removed Malwarebytes and then re-downloaded it but I am still having the same problem. I am not sure what else to do, hence this post. What should I do to get it working again?
