Malwarebytes won't launch

I own the premium version of Malwarebytes.

I realized that I haven't seen it perform a scan in a while. When I try to open it, it simply doesn't open. There's no error, it just quietly doesn't open.


I've walked through the relevant steps in FAQ - Malwarebytes Anti-Malware won't run or failed to resolve my issues



  1. Use Malwarebytes Chameleon to run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware when Malwarebytes Anti-Malware won't run due to infection
  2. Run as and Run as administrator
  3. Alternate Methods of Starting Malwarebytes Anti-Malware
  4. Use RKill to Allow Malwarebytes Anti-Malware to Run
  5. Run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware from Safe Mode with Networking
  6. None of the tutorials here solved my issues or I would prefer to have direct assistance from an expert

Step 2 suggested creating a new admin account on the computer and trying to run Malwarebytes as administrator from that account. When I did so, an error box displayed with the following information:

I read:  I'm infected - What do I do now?
I ran the Farbar recovery scan tool.  FRST.txt and Addition.txt are attached, because this post failed as "too long" when they were pasted in.
