MBAM error running program

Recommended Posts

I think I have the same thing. Running Premium on Vista was fine until yesterday (about 14.00 UTC). SInce then, any attempt to run MBAM and any restart (even in safe mode) elicits this message:

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware stopped working and was closed.

A problem caused the application to stop working correctly. Windows will notify you if a solution is available.

Any ideas? Thanks

Hi, @OxfordAlan:

Sorry to hear you are having issues.
Each computer is unique.
Problems that sound "the same" most often are not.
The same is true for solutions.
They most often need to be individualized.

It is less confusing for everyone if we try to stick to "one user per topic".
Please start a NEW, SEPARATE topic using the cjfj.png button.
The staff and experts will be able to more easily provide both you and the OP with individual help to get you both up and running.

Thanks for your patience and understanding,

Hi, again:

Now that the mod team has split off your post to a separate topic:

Also, one other thing you might try: If you installed MBAM from a Windows LUA (Limited User Account), you might try logging in to an Admin account, updating and then logging back in to your standard account.  That has solved the issue for some users.

Please let us know how it goes.

Thank You,
