Hi! I recently downloaded and updated the free version of Mbam to take care of a problem. It took care of a big part of the problem, but not tthe rest....which will be posted under another topic later.

I do have just a general question and I wasn't sure where to post it.

What is the difference between the free version and the purchased version other than paying for one and not the other? Does the purchased version have better removal tools?

Hi Finewhitesugar! welcome to the forum! The purchased version lets you use the "Protection Module", and your PC will scan in "real time" The Free Version you will have to do a manual scan to see if any spyware/maleware got in your PC...you should see some info on it on this page: http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php good to meet you! i have been holding off buying malwarebytes as i need to get more ram;does it use much?

i want to get the P.M. but i cant get that ram installed until my sisters boyfriend comes over witch isnt till sept.

Thankfully MBAM in realtime is very light on system resources, in fact I barely notice that it's there (unless I look at the tray and see the little M sitting there ). It uses very little ram and CPU.
