Blocking all websites after Malicious Website Protection Enabled

Recommended Posts

When using version 2.0.1.1004 Premium version of malewarebytes and when Malicious website protection is enabled all websites are blocked. The only way to avoid this is to unclick the protection.

I have followed instructions to completely remove malwarebytes from the system and reinstall it with no luck.

Please advice.

Hi, MrDMB:

Until @Firefox returns, a couple of things....

Your log shows:

Qualcomm Atheros Bandwidth Control Filter Driver (Version: 1.0.30.1259 - Qualcomm Atheros) Hidden
Qualcomm Atheros Killer E220x Drivers (Version: 1.0.30.1259 - Qualcomm Atheros) Hidden
Qualcomm Atheros Killer Network Manager Suite (HKLM-x32\...\{FE5DFB80-6937-4154-A2C7-EF845C1301F8}) (Version: 1.0.30.1259 - Qualcomm Atheros)
Qualcomm Atheros Network Manager (Version: 1.0.30.1259 - Qualcomm Atheros) Hidden

There is a known issue with this particular network card and the Killer Network Manager.

Try DISABLING the setting for "Enable Bandwidth Control" in KNM.

That resolves the issue for nearly all users who report this problem.

Also, you may wish to upgrade to the current build, 2.1.4.1018, by following the steps here: MBAM Clean Removal Process 2x

>NOTE: The new build does NOT specifically address or fix the issue with E220x card.  So the recommendation to upgrade is just a general one.

Please post back and let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

P.S. This thread is a year old and based on an older version of MBAM.  So, the forum mod team may split off your post to a new, separate topic. No worries, though. ;)
