Web Exclusions

Recommended Posts

I right clicked on the MBAM icon in system trey and an IP address in the "add to Web Exclusions" was listed there.

Decided to click the add button and immediately got a MBAM alert popup for blocked outgoing item.  Deleted it from web exclusions and checked it out on google and it is in the Netherlands.

My question is what makes and address show up on that right click menu?

What makes an address show up in the MBAM tray icon is because you were either surfing the web, or you had a P2P application running and MBAM blocked either a website or an ad from a site on the webpage, or a connection from the P2P app you may have been running.

MBAM was doing its job. Normally you do not want to add those to your web exclusions unless you know for a fact that the site is safe.

I've been seeing the same thing.  The IP address it wants to add is clearly bad.  I can't find any way to make the "Add xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx to web exclusions" go away, except add it and them immediately delete it.  Is there another way to make it go away?  Thanks.

The IP blocks suggest that you may be infected.

We can't work on malware diagnostics and removal in this sub-section of the forum.

So, for expert assistance, I suggest that you please follow the advice in this pinned topic: Available Assistance For Possibly Infected Computers.
It explains the options for free, expert help >>AND<< the preliminary steps to expedite the process.
A malware analyst will guide you through the cleanup process.

Thanks,
