MBAM V2.0.1.1004 crashing on Windows 8.1+ x64 Pro

This is on Windows 8.1+ x64 Professional (with latest update).  MBAM is frequently crashing with an Event ID 1000 crash.  This is occurring when I close the GUI.

 

MBAM is installed totally fresh on the system.  Logs and the dump are attached.

This crash seems to be centered around closing the "settings" window when MBAM attempts to save settings.

It's not a problem with MBAM, but yours "not okay" (damaged) Windows problem.

Please first restart the computer.  Then follow the directions here and let us know if that corrects the issue for you or not.

 

MBAM Clean Removal Process 2x

 

Are  you running BitLocker encryption on this system or any other disk encryption?

The clean removal tool and re-install appears to have fixed the problem.

 

I am not running BitLocker or any other encryption software.
