Black screen after malwarebytes telling me to restart my laptop

Recommended Posts

I did the Malware scan and it found over 100 issues. It toke around 9 hours to complete the scan. When it was finished it asked me to apply these changes and I did. It then asked me to restart my computer. I did and the computer shut down and the screen went dark. The keyboard lights are still on and the computer sounds like its still on, but its been like that for over 2 hours now. I want to reboot it by holding power button down until it shuts off but I am afraid to do that. I am afraid to do anything but wait. Any suggestions? What should I do?

I have an Alienware laptop. windows 7 64bit.

Other info= I did not run the scan in safe mode. My laptop was running very slow a few days before running the scan. I did not back computer up before running the scan.

I appreicate any help. Thanks

Hello and post-32477-1261866970.gif

P2P/Piracy Warning:

If you're using Peer 2 Peer software such as uTorrent, BitTorrent or similar you must either fully uninstall them or completely disable them from running while being assisted here.

Failure to remove or disable such software will result in your topic being closed and no further assistance being provided.

If you have illegal/cracked software, cracks, keygens etc. on the system, please remove or uninstall them now and read the policy on Piracy.

There is no real option other than to use the power button and re-boot... When that completes run the following;

Download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your desktop.

Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system (32 bit or 64 bit). If you are not sure which version applies to your system download both of them and try to run them. Only one of them will run on your system, that will be the right version.

Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
Press Scan button.
It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please copy and paste it to your reply.
The first time the tool is run, it makes also another log (Addition.txt). Please attach it to your reply.

Post both logs, also let me see the last log from Malwarebytes..

Kevin
