[SOLVED] MBAE causing Quicktime Player to crash.

Recommended Posts

This issue began to occur after I was prompted to install the most recent version of MBAE because the old one had expired.

When I try to open Quicktime Player 7.75.80.95, or to open a file using it, the player crashes and the View Problem Details tab indicates that mbae.dll_unloaded is the culprit.  Sure enough, when I Stop Protection for MBAE, the problem vanishes and Quicktime Player works correctly.  Reinstalling the player does not solve the problem.

I am using Windows 7 SP1, fully patched, QuickTime Player 7.75.80.95, and version 0.10.0.1000 of Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit.  Logs are attached.

Thank you for your time.

Since this issue is already fixed in the upcoming version and listed in the Known Issues until then, I'm closing this thread.

If other users are experiencing the same problem, there's no need to report it anymore. The new version will fix this.

Thanks!
