Best Practices for Multiple Users

We have quite a few copies of malwarebytes and our users are prompted every few days to update the software.  Is there not a feature in place to force updates without user initiation?

Which version of Malwarebytes are you using? Consumer Pro version, Malwarebytes Business Edition, or Enterprise Edition?

Where do you have these copies installed?

Consumer Pro - we purchased a few copies last week for a virus; and noticed it prompted all of our users who have it installed to run it.

I am assuming you are using version 1.7x, if that is the case, then Malwarebytes released a new version 2.0 and you are getting notified to upgrade your software. You can install right over the existing copy and your license will remain in effect. Remember you will have to be logged in as an admin to upgrade.

 

That is the way its done with version 1.7x and below.  With version 2.0 I believe the program updates will be handled differently.

If you are referring to database updates and the database out of date notifications, you may use the Scheduler to schedule automatic updates (I recommend hourly) so that your systems' databases are always kept up to date.

Just a note that the Consumer version of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Premium is not for Business, Government, Educational, or Non-Profit use.  Only Consumer home users should be using that version and all other use should be using some type of Business version of the program.
