Then...........

Please download and run ComboFix.

Ensure you have disabled all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.

Information on disabling your malware programs can be found Here.

Make sure you run ComboFix from your desktop.

Give it at least 30-45 minutes to finish if needed.

Please include the C:\ComboFix.txt in your next reply for further review.

---------->NOTE<----------

If you get the message Illegal operation attempted on registry key that has been marked for deletion after you run ComboFix....please reboot the computer, this should resolve the problem. You may have to do this several times if needed.

No change in performance. Something is hiding quite well.
Why do you say that?? What problems are you having??

What do those files in drivers that say eat and hooked mean when I run rogue killer? More and more the list gets bigger and I can't remove any of it.

Why do you want to delete them????

-----------------------------------------

Did you run Malwarebytes??

Clean out temp files:

Download TFC from here and save it to your desktop.
http://oldtimer.geekstogo.com/TFC.exe
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/tfc/dl/92/
Close any open programs and Internet browsers.
Double click TFC.exe to run it on XP (for Vista and Windows 7 right click and choose "Run as administrator") and once it opens click on the Start button on the lower left of the program to allow it to begin cleaning.
Please be patient as clearing out temp files may take a while.
Once it completes you may be prompted to restart your computer, please do so.
Once it's finished you may delete TFC.exe from your desktop or save it for later use for the cleaning of temporary files.

-----------

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (FRST) and save it to a folder.
(use correct version for your system.....Which system am I using?)
FRST <----for 32 bit systems
FRST64 <----for 64 bit systems

  • Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
  • Press Scan button. (make sure the Addition box is checked)
  • It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please copy and paste it to your reply.
  • The first time the tool is run, it makes also another log (Addition.txt). Please attach it to your reply.

If the logs are large, you can attach them:

My main concern(s) is : From information  I have gathered EAT is doing just that eating up my cpu while HOOKED is allowing the spread into other areas.  What is the purpose and/or function(s) of these files that are breeding if I am totally wrong? My suspicion is that my CPU is being used as a miner. Why do I have this suspicion? All of the symptoms are present and I have been blocked from a few sites that consider me to be a 'bad visitor" from host intel miner.  So thats why I keep at it with someone like yourself that knows waaaay more than I do. I actually have the program that may be causing me all this drama on a stick. I am not qualified to explore the program itself. If needed I could use a sandbox to dig for more information? Running the instructions you gave me and will post logs when completed.

Many programs insert hooks of some kind.

Running specialist tools like roguekiller are more than likely to throw up things that look strange, which is why generally they are run under the guidance of a malware removal specialist. Otherwise it can cause more confusion rather than clarity.

There's nothing od about your log.

Did you run TFC and FRST?? Logs???

ok now that the morphine and dilaudid is finally getting through to dull the pain enough I can move around a little. Wanna wipe this problem out. I have been racking my brain and I strongly feel that Carberp Trojan is my problem. Your pro knowledge trumps mine so what you need me to do now?

It is becoming difficult to get anything done. My system is being choked to death it seems. The list of eat-hooked files is growing like kudzu. This warning message has started to use my name(leaving that part blank for obvious reasons)

Warning Source=Microsoft-Windows-DNS-Client Message=Name resolution for the name(MY NAME).microsoft.com timed out after none of the configured DNS servers responded.

These 2 files showed up although I haven't been on the net much at all while recovering. Gonna do the last intructions over because I did what you asked prior to hospital. Will post results ASAP.
