start bar popping up clicking icon temp fixes

So every so often my start bar will pop up, and the only thing that will make it go back down is clicking the malwarebytes icon. This means that there was activity by malwarebytes, to my knowlegde. Is there a way to stop this from happening? It has even happened while playing games, switching me back to the desktop.

Which OS are you using, and which version of MBAM?

Malwarebytes 1.75.0.1300

Do you by chance have MBAM set to show notifications and Windows set to have notifications disabled?

Not that I know of, where can I find these settings to check?

If the registry key EnableBalloonTips does not exist then you're fine,.  If it does exist, then make sure the value is 1 and not 0.

Odd.  I think the next step by a staff member would be to have you clean uninstall MBAM, then reinstall, but let me make sure.

If you have auto hide enabled, then I suspect the bar is popping up every time there is a Malwarebytes Notification...

If that is the case you can try and disable the notifications in the General section and see if that fixes your issue.

the only notification settings i see are 'show tooltip balloon' under the protection tab.

Sounds like you are still using version 1.75 is that correct?

If I am not mistaken, In 1.75 there are 2 checkboxes for "blocked notifications" - filesystem, and malicious website.
