daledoc1 Posted March 23, 2014 ID:806931 Share Posted March 23, 2014 Hi: PUP = Potentially Unwanted ProgramThis KB topic explains what they are AND how to decide whether to delete them or keep/ignore them: What are the 'PUP' detections, are they threats and should they be deleted? It's hard to say for sure how you would want to proceed for the PUPs you are seeing, without seeing the logs.Generally, it's safe to let MBAM remove them all.But some can be trickier than others. We can't do this sort of work here in this section of the forum. So the best bet would be to please follow the advice in this pinned topic: Available Assistance For Possibly Infected Computers.A malware analyst will assist you with reviewing your scans and deciding what to remove, what to keep, etc..Thanks,daledoc1
