gstring free aplication tracks calls?

hello guys. as u can see in the screenshot, malwarebytes shows me that gstring can monitor my calls.

gstring is an app for tuning guitars.

 

In the discription of the app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.cohortor.gstrings i cant find any clues that this app can record any calls.

 

so can i trust this aplication or not?

 

( i use a sony xperia go with non rooted 4.1.2 andoird)

To be most specific, G-Strings cannot monitor your calls themselves, but it can record any input on the microphone.  So, I suppose technically if you were on a call, and then were to run G- Strings (or, vice versa, already had G Strings running, and then were to make / receive a phone call) it would have the ability to record whatever you spoke into the microphone as long as you were able to enable G-Strings while on your call.

 

I just checked G Strings permissions in Play Store, and this is what I see:

 

 

This app has access to these permissions:

Network communication
full network access
view network connections
Microphone
record audio
