Malwarebytes Pro Concern

Recommended Posts

If I bought Malwarebytes PRO version, and then completely wiped my hard disk, went back and reinstalled Malwarebytes... Would my regestration key still work? Would the software think it is already installed on "another machine"?

Looking forward to getting this resolved, because I would like the best security for my PC.

Yes, your registration key would work.  Currently, the keys being sold are for the 1.75 version of the product, which are lifetime, single PC licenses - meaning you get to own and use MBAM Pro for life using this one license.  It is transferable to a new PC (must uninstall from the old PC as you can only have one activated copy) but it cannot be transferred to another person.

If you were to have any issues at all, you could always contact the reseller that you purchased the license from and get it worked out, but I have formatted my computer and reinstalled Windows numerous times and never had an issue with the lifetime license.

With the new and upcoming 1 year subscription that is valid on 3 PCs, I imagine you'll have no problem until that third activation has been reached - after that it would be the same procedure, contact your reseller and get them to fix it.  Of course, this should not happen very often since the subscription length is only for a year.
