TVC15 Posted March 5, 2014 ID:799834 Share Posted March 5, 2014 After 17.5 hours and 1,491 objects scanned on my slave drive(E)(that I was having problems with when installed as Master) I attempted to abort the scan to find another method to trouble-shoot the slave that indicated bad sectors/segments at boot-up. Now, 1 hour later, 85 additional objects scanned and additional clicks on "abort scan" button the scan is still running. Any suggestions? Should I just shut down the system? If unable to kill the process then yes you may have to restart the computer.If you're getting bad sector/segment messages though then that would certainly indicate needing to scan the drive with a tool designed to test the disk integrity not a malware scanner.
