Hey,

I have a new enough laptop..

In the last 2days Ihave got 2 errors saying outgoing connection has been blocked when browsing the net.

I had performed a malwarescan before hand and deleted them.. but can someone explain why it would be outgoing and not incoming if it was coming from the browser/net.

If possible I'll show the notifications if someone can tell me where they are kept (if indeed they are kept)

Thanks,

Hoping for some piece of mind,

Pat

Hello Patrick44

I would like to start by getting a couple of reports. Then according to what I see in those reports I will decide what to do

Step 1- Please look in the following location for a file called PROTECTION-log-xx-xx-xxxx.txt' (x= dates) and attach the contents back for me to review. This info may give me an idea on how to address this issue on your system.

Open Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.

Once open, there will be a series of tabs, labeled in order:

Scanner | Protection | Update | Quarantine | Logs | Ignore list | Settings | More Tools | About

Click the 'Logs' tab.

From the list look for the last log and either double-click it or click the 'Open' button to view it.

Step 2- Lets also collect additional information off the system to see if we can spot the issue. Do this regardless of any issues you have with Step 1

Please download DDS from the link below and save it to your desktop:

http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/dds.scr

Please double click dds.scr to run the tool.

Vista & Windows 7 users: You must right click on the file above and select "Run As Administrator" to run the tool.

This scan will produce 2 logs and save them to the desktop:

DDS.txt

Attach.txt

Please save using the default Notepad format,

We'll proceed based on the output of these files. Please do not reply until both logs are attached and ready to be sent.

Name of files to be attached into your next reply:
