novirusplease Posted March 3, 2014 ID:798627 Share Posted March 3, 2014 Hi, After windows 8.1 update and system update, I ran malwarebytes and there were two files detected: C:\Windows\WinSxS\x86_microsoft-windows-atl_31bf3856ad364e35_6.3.9600.16384_none_3fc0044d754c0225\atl.dll (Trojan.FakeMS) -> No action taken.C:\Windows\WinSxS\x86_microsoft-windows-vcm-core-codecs_31bf3856ad364e35_6.3.9600.16384_none_01428598f4095f36\iccvid.dll (Trojan.FakeAlert) -> No action taken. Same exact situation and files as https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopic=139808My database version was also the 2013 one However, I assumed these were not false positive, and deleted them from the quarantine. As the above are false positives, I'm worried I have deleted essential running system files.Would a system restore fix this, or is there any advise what to do?
