Should MBAE protect Word and Excel starter edition 2010

Recommended Posts

Should MBAE protect Word and Excel starter edition 2010, I have never seen an entry for them in the logs list. I'm currently using but have used previous version with the same result.

Just as a side note: EMET doesn't seem to protect them either.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi pbust,

I have investigated a bit more and it seems that the free starter edition of Word and Excell are not stored on my computer they are in the Microsoft cloud.

The files that are run from the cloud are excelc.exe and winwordc.exe so that's probably why they are not protected because of the extra c at the end of the file name (i persume the c stands for cloud).

Would it be possible to include these new file names in the protection list in a future update, as I'm sure there are many users in the same situation.

Kind regards.
