How Many Versions Am I Running?

Recommended Posts

So I downloaded and tried Belarc Advisor, shows a lot of information. It also shows I am running 3 versions of MBAM.

I am running the latest beat, 2.00.0.0504, Belarc Advisor shows me running these versions.

2.1.9

2.0.23

1.0.0.488

Is this a false reading or are these old versions hiding somewhere on my computer?

Thanks.

Originally you were supposed to fully uninstall the 1.75 version before using the beta.  I'm assuming maybe you did not?

As for the file version shown by Belarc I'm not sure as I don't use the program but I'm guessing its simply reading file versions of individual files which it cannot translate into the actual version.

If you like we can review what you have and provide feedback

Please create an mbam-check log:

  • Download mbam-check.exe from here and save it to your desktop
  • Double-click on mbam-check.exe to run it, it should then open a log file
  • Please do not copy and paste the entire contents of the log into your next post, instead please attach the log CheckResults.txt file which should now be located on your desktop to your next post

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your desktop.

Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system.
You can check here if you're not sure if your computer is 32-bit or 64-bit

  • Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
  • Press Scan button.
  • It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please copy and paste it to your reply.
  • The first time the tool is run, it also makes another log (Addition.txt). Please copy and paste it to your reply as well.

For the most part it appears to have been removed but there are still some files and folders left behind but not ones that Belarc should see or count.  I think it's just how Belarc is reading them is all.

That said the logs indicate that you have some potential issues with your computer.  I would recommend further review to verify if it's a false reading or if you have some things wrong.

I would suggest following the advice from the topic here Available Assistance for Possibly Infected Computers and having one of the Experts assist you with looking into your issue.

Thanks
