SonicFeathers Posted February 28, 2014 ID:797654 Share Posted February 28, 2014 Hey Mods & Mbytes users. Please don't think I am saying the program isn't good, I do believe in it. I am just ticked off that Eset found stuff I believe Mbytes should have. Please can someone explain why this happened 'cos I doubt their product is better? I'd hoped getting rid of those 4 malware would get my word or web typing corrected. The problem is every time 'T' is typed the next letter doesn't continue but shoots up to where my cursor is & inserts the continuing type there - but ridding my machine of that malware hasn't changed anything besides speeding the computer up. Does anybody know anything about such a virus that beggers with your typing? e.g. busy typing typing & then you type 'the' or that' or transparent' and the 't' will go down but the next letter forms a space way ago from when you begun typing & where the cursor is currently sitting so you get e.g. 'space ranspare(t & it shoots back to beginning)....Hey Mods & .... Hope some knowledgeable persons have advice to give, I'm infuriated by this & (2) makes typing tedious & VERY time consuming. Thanks in advance. Malware1 Posted February 28, 2014 ID:797657 Share Posted February 28, 2014 They're PUPs, if they're undetected by MBAM, then please submit them to the Newest Malware Threats forum.

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is designed to be a supplement to your antivirus to catch the things your antivirus is likely to miss, additionally, while I don't want to make excuses, it does happen that we (like any other product) are going to miss things from time to time but we do our best to try and stay on top of the newest threats as well as the latest PUP (Potentially Unwanted Programs). Also, please verify that under Scanner Settings in Malwarebytes Anti-Malware you have the PUP setting configured to "Show in results list and check for removal" as that will ensure that Malwarebytes Anti-Malware treats PUP detections like malware so that they get removed/detected rather than allowed or ignored (these are non-malware items which is why this is optional as some users do not want these applications detected or removed). If you are still having any problems and believe your system may be infected then please follow the instructions here to receive free one on one expert assistance in getting your system checked and cleaned of any malware (or PUPs) that might still be present.
