On my Windows XP (run on an iMac through Bootcamp), I can't open Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware. When I try, I get the message: "Windows cannot open this program because it has been prevented by a software restriction policy. For more information, open Event Viewer or contact your system administrator."

This situation began after I successfully ran an MBam scan, and deleted one item, "trojan.fakedesk...".

Following this situation, I am able to access Malwarebytes only via Safe Mode.

I have tried many fixes to no avail. I accessed the Group Policy screen, but no software restriction policies are indicated there.

I was similarly unable to access Microsoft Security Essentials, so removed it and installed a different anti-virus software.

If there is help available, I would be grateful.
