not sure if infected

Recommended Posts

Today I downloaded teamviewer cause my ISP needed to check some settings. I merely ran teamviewer but did not install it. After the session I removed teamviewer and the folders it made in my AppData folder.

did a ccleaner run and restarted computer.

upon power up, updated mbam then did full scan.

This shock me when it finished scanning. As most people should know after a scan there will be 2 things that pop out. A notepad and a small window for mbam.

Notepad shows the scan results which are clean.

The small window which is suppose to show "No malicious item detected bla bla bla" and an OK button also popped out but this item I could not see any words in the window, its just white with an OK button.

I did a 2nd full scan and it is now showing the " No malicious item detected" with the OK button.

I never had this issue before, am I infected???

the first run had no words but the second run does.

avast full scan also showed no threat.

Or is it just a graphical bug? I realize mbam minimized my game after the scan is completed. Then I saw the notepad results and the blank windows that is suppose to say : no malicious item detected.

it actually minimize my game just to show the results

If you ask me it was probably just a fluke.

Hundreds of thousands of folks use Teamviewer to remote access, me included. As long as you downloaded the Teamviewer app from the original website you should be fine.

As far as if you are infected or not, well that's hard to say without looking at logs.

Totally up to you, but if you want to make sure your not infected, feel free to follow the instructions below to receive free, one-on-one expert assistance in checking your system and clearing out any infections and correcting any damage done by the malware.

Thank you
