Hi, Norse:

 

When attempting to login to the Malwarebytes forum with Facebook, I get the following error:

 

Error
App Not Setup: The developers of this app have not set up this app properly for Facebook Login.

 

I don't use FB, but it might help if you could provide a bit more information about your system:

  • Browser name & version?
    • Security extensions (script-blockers or other)?
  • OS platform?
  • The link of the web site from which you are trying to log in to the forum?
  • Perhaps a screen shot of the error message?
  • Have you tried a different browser and/or a different computer or mobile device?

ALSO: Is the same device about which you are reporting another "login" error: https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopic=142354&hl=

OS platform?  Windows 8.0

The link of the web site from which you are trying to log in to the forum?  https://forums.malwarebytes.org/

Perhaps a screen shot of the error message?  I copied the text from the error and pasted it into the original post.  I don't see the ability to add an attachment to this posting.  If I find one, I'll add it.

Have you tried a different browser and/or a different computer or mobile device?  chrome also gets the same error

As far as attaching files (screen shots are from Win7):

  • "More Reply" button in lower right
  • "Browse" button near the paperclip in the lower left >>>> browse to the file you want to attach
  • "Attach this file"

 

We'll need to wait for one of the staff or experts to advise you further.

I have no clue why its not working but maybe one of the staff members know why its happening

This is not helping the original poster in any way... :blink:  ;)  

 

 

id say try updating to ie 11 and see if that fixes it...hope this helps...

IE11 has its own issues, and adding to his problem is probably not going to help.

@Norse, are you able to login to Facebook with your current username and password?

If you are to login to the forum then it really isn't a problem.

 

Logging in via FB may be nice but it is no show stopper or a capability that brings some kind of enhancements.  If you are able to login to the Malwarebytes' Forum then that's all that really counts.

You wrote "people".  I see "person".  I don't see a preponderance of posters all indicating an issue thus its not systemic.  Since its is not systemic it is indicative that it is an isolated case.  Since you are able to login and access the forums it really isn't an issue.
