MBAE: 0.09.5.1000
Opera x64 12.16

MBAE does not crash Opera anymore as expected but there seems to be a new problem now with Adobe Flash 12. WIth MBAE active, Opera can't seem to load any flash content. Disabling MBAE and Flash operates normally again within Opera.

Another thing you can do is load Opera up like normal with MBAE turned on. Open up a new tab and load a page with flash content. For my test, I used orisinal.com. Close Opera and start it up again. You will see Opera hang for a while trying to load orisinal.com. Now exit Opera again and turn off MBAE. Now start up Opera again and this time Opera will open up quickly and with the flash content loaded as expected.

In the logs of MBAE, it does not show any indication of a problem. It just shows that Opera is being protected as usual.

Thanks for the info Enternal.

We'll be taking a closer look at this.

Btw the newer Opera probably doesn't have this problem, but I understand if you want to stay with Opera 12 instead of the newer Opera versions.

Thank you! Yes I want to stay with Opera 12 instead any of the newer versions.

Seems to be specific to the old Opera 12.x and only under x64. We're looking closer at this issue and will fix it in one of the upcoming beta versions.

Ok! Looking forward to that and once again, thank you!

Actually, I uploaded the log here as well just in case you might be interested in taking a look at it even though it's already been solved. Sorry for the mess in the log. I was also testing with my Chrome and Firefox installation.

I noticed some interesting things in the log but you probably already know about it:

mbae-svc-NoMod(418) - 2014/02/15 - 14:03:36 - #1# - MbaeLogProcessModules: Cannot enumerate loaded modules Pid: 5988 Process Name: C:\Program Files\Opera x64\pluginwrapper\opera_plugin_wrapper.exe Address: 0x00000000 - 329 - 6940

Anyway, thank you!

Thanks for confirming and for the log. Yes those issues are normal if the process opens and closes without doing anything and Opera does seem to do that quite a bit.

I'll close this thread as solved but if you see anything else please don't hesitate to let me know. Thanks again for testing!!
