gaiden012 Posted February 7, 2014 ID:788117 Share Posted February 7, 2014 Hey guys, I really need some help because I suspect that my laptop has been infected with Malware. My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite C855-S5356 and about 5 to 7 months old. And it seems to me that ever since a few weeks ago, every single time I download something, say its 2GB (which normally take about 1 hour+ to download) it downloads in a few seconds and then when I open it, it says file corrupt or "windows smart screen has protected this PC" I have images below. I've been using my browser, Google Chrome for over a year now and this has never happened. I don't know how it started or when it started but can someone please help so I can get normal downloads again? I've tried using Internet Explorer as well and the same things happen every time. If someone could please, please help that'd be more than great thanks!

I will take care not to knowingly suggest courses of action that might damage your computer. However it is impossible for me to foresee all interactions that may happen between the software on your computer and those we'll use to clear you of infection, and I cannot guarantee the safety of your system. It is possible that we might encounter situations where the only recourse is to re-format and re-install your operating system, or to necessitate you taking your computer to a repair shop. Because of this, I highly recommend you make sure any important files on your computer are backed up externally. Now in order for us to continue, please read the Instructions and post the requested logs. We need the information in order to help.
