Halp! IE9 continually crashes on me and then reloads the page. I have reset everything back to default and it still crashes continually. Recently I opened my Task Manager and noticed multiple(5+) instances of IEXPLORE.EXE(even though I only have one instance of IE9 open)... :(

 

Please let me know what I need to do to acquire your assistance.

It’s perfectly normal to see two or more iexplore.exe processes in the Task Manager when an Internet Explorer 9 window is open. This is due to a change implemented in Internet Explorer 8 where the frame and tabs are split, each having their own processes. Each tab has its own* process so that the rest of the tabs and the browser frame/window are not affected when a single tab process crashes.

Crashes on the another hand are something strange.
