Dear Sir,

i have the pro version of MABM, however it does not run in active or live mode. i have to manually run the scan function which shows up the detected item and then begin the removal process.

also although the MABM is shown in the taskbar, everytime i click it it asks for the windows permission to run the program.

is there a way i can keep it activated in live mode.

Best Regards

Lawrence

Hello and :welcome:

Please run the following scanner and send back the logs.

Download DDS from one of the locations below and save to your Desktop
dds.scr
dds.com

Temporarily disable any script blocker if your Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware has it.
How To Temporarily Disable Your Anti-virus, Firewall And Anti-malware Programs

Once downloaded you can disconnect from the Internet and disable your Ant-Virus temporarily if needed.
Then double click dds.scr or dds.com to run the tool.
Click the Run button if prompted with an Open File - Security Warning dialog box.
A black DOS console should open and run for a moment.

  • When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:
    • DDS.txt
    • Attach.txt
  • Save both reports to your desktop
  • Please include the following logs in your next reply as an attachment: DDS.txt and Attach.txt
  • You can ignore the note about zipping the Attach.txt file and just post it or attach it.

Next, Please create an mbam-check log:

  • Download mbam-check.exe from here and save it to your desktop
  • Double-click on mbam-check.exe to run it, it should then open a log file
  • Please do not copy and paste the entire contents of the log into your next post, instead please attach the log CheckResults.txt file which should now be located on your desktop to your next post

I don't see a specific infection.  There are some possibly unwanted program entries but none that I see that should be causing an issues.

What I do see that might be causing an issues is that it says you have Norton Internet Security installed which has it's own Firewall drivers and you also have ZoneAlarm firewall installed.

It could possibly just be a conflict with other software on the system.

Were you aware that you have ZoneAlarm running and that Norton IS also has a firewall ?

If  you fully disable or uninstall ZoneAlarm does the Protection Module in MBAM work?

You also have these entries in your Registry.  They should not be affecting our software but I would recommend removing these entries.  Whenever possible it's always best to try to run software without any compatibility settings unless it just will not run correctly without it.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\appCompatFlags\Layers

  SIGN.MEDIA=700DC Softwares\MS Office Pro 2007\setup.exe

  SIGN.MEDIA=3F6B17A8 P1\EyeDefenderSetup.exe

  C:\Program Files (x86)\Innovative Solutions\Advanced Uninstaller PRO\uninstaller.exe

  C:\Program Files (x86)\Innovative Solutions\Advanced Uninstaller PRO\monitor.exe

  C:\Program Files (x86)\Innovative Solutions\Advanced Uninstaller PRO\scheduler.exe

  C:\Program Files (x86)\Innovative Solutions\Advanced Uninstaller PRO\LoaderRunOnce.exe

  C:\Users\Sean\Downloads\forextime4setup.exe

  C:\Users\Sean\AppData\Local\Temp\VSDB010.tmp\DotNetFx35Client\DotNetFx35ClientSetup.exe

  C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\VSTO\10.0\VSTOInstaller.exe

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\appCompatFlags\Layers

  C:\Users\Sean\Desktop\MS Office Pro 2007\setup.exe

  C:\Users\Sean\Desktop\jre-7u17-windows-i586.exe

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\appCompatFlags\Layers

  C:\Program Files (x86)\Innovative Solutions\Advanced Uninstaller PRO\uninstaller.exe

  C:\Program Files (x86)\Innovative Solutions\Advanced Uninstaller PRO\monitor.exe

  C:\Program Files (x86)\Innovative Solutions\Advanced Uninstaller PRO\scheduler.exe

  C:\Program Files (x86)\Innovative Solutions\Advanced Uninstaller PRO\LoaderRunOnce.exe

If that's not the issue then we might need to scan for a possible infection.

I would suggest following the advice from the topic here Available Assistance for Possibly Infected Computers and having one of the Experts assist you with looking into your issue.

Thanks
