Hi, silverred: :)

Have been running MBAM PRO + KIS2014 on 4 rigs without issues.
(On one system I recently had to replace KIS (temporarily, I hope) with another AV because of a compatibility problem with a 3rd-party disk encryption software - but that has nothing to do with MBAM.)

Until staff arrives, a couple of thoughts:

  • KIS and MBAM PRO are perfectly fine on nearly all systems.  Uninstalling MBAM is a standard troubleshooting step.  In most cases, it can be reinstalled after the underlying problem is fixed.
  • If your hard drive is filling up fast with GB of data, that is likely because KL had you enable "traces". They will generate GBs of data and fill the drive.
  • GSI is a Kaspersky tool - the folks here may prefer some different logs -- please follow the steps below to post back with BOTH DDS logs for the staff to review.

I hope this helps for starters,

DDS Instructions

Download DDS from one of the locations below and save it to your Desktop:
dds.scr
dds.com

Temporarily disable any script blocker if your Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware has it.
How To Temporarily Disable Your Anti-virus, Firewall And Anti-malware Programs

Once it is downloaded, you can disconnect from the Internet and disable your Ant-Virus temporarily if needed.
Then double click dds.scr or dds.com to run the tool.
Click the Run button if prompted with an Open File - Security Warning dialog box.
A black DOS console should open and run for a moment.

  •
  • When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:
    • DDS.txt
    • Attach.txt
  • Save both reports to your desktop
  • Please attach both of the following logs to your next reply: DDS.txt and Attach.txt
You can ignore the note about zipping the Attach.txt file in most cases.

Hi,

Thanks for the logs - we will need to wait for staff to review them.

If I understand correctly, you have uninstalled KIS2014 and gone back to KIS2013?

Until then:

1. What is the problem you are having now with KIS2013?

2. What was the problem you had before, with KIS2014 & MBAM PRO?

3. The latest stable, consumer release version of MBAM PRO is still 1.75. If you have already uninstalled it and wish to reinstall, please follow these steps for Method 1 here: MBAM Clean Removal Process, then How do I activate Malwarebytes Anti-Malware?

>>>>However, if you plan to upgrade back to KIS2014, it would be best to wait until you have done that before reinstalling MBAM.

Thanks!

Hi

No problem, i wait for the necessary time.

Thanks for your patience.

1. now I dont' have any problem with KIS2013.

OK

2. the problem with KIS 2014 and MBAM PRO, is HD completly full after one ore two days.

That does not sound like a problem with MBAM.

It is a familiar problem with KIS -- 2014, 2013 or any version -- when traces are enabled.

Normally that setting is "off".

But, for some reason, it may have been turned on, OR (more likely) the KL tech support folks asked you to turn it to collect data for them.

Please refer to the links in my original reply -- there is a link to a similar topic at the KL user forum (there are many similar posts), and a link to an article explaining how to turn it off and how to remove all the files that are filling your hard drive.

If that is not the problem, then perhaps the experts/staff here will see some other issues in your DDS logs that might help to explain it.

It is rather busy here at the forum today, so please be patient -- one of the staff or expert members will help you as soon as possible.

Thanks,

daledoc1

Unfortunately those logs were not complete. So if you disable either KIS or MBAM there is not issue with space?

That would certainly indicate to me that there is some type of conflict going on but that's not normal to generate so many logs that it fills the drive.

Can you confirm that without MBAM running or without KIS running the system appears to be okay?

Please try running the following scanner and post back its log.

Please download MiniToolBox save it to your desktop and run it.

Checkmark the following check-boxes:

  • Flush DNS
  • Report IE Proxy Settings
  • Reset IE Proxy Settings
  • Report FF Proxy Settings
  • Reset FF Proxy Settings
  • List content of Hosts
  • List IP configuration
  • List Winsock Entries
  • List last 10 Event Viewer log
  • List Installed Programs
  • List Devices
  • List Users, Partitions and Memory size.
  • List Minidump Files
Click Go and post the result (Result.txt). A copy of Result.txt will be saved in the same directory the tool is run.

Note: When using Reset FF Proxy Settings option Firefox should be closed.

Hi, silverred: :)

Please continue to work with AdvancedSetup and follow all his advice.

I'm still a bit curious, though, because I don't think you ever replied as to whether you had "traces" enabled in either KIS2013 or KIS2014?

If you were working with support from KL, they may well have had you enable that feature.

And sometimes users enable it by mistake, without realizing it.

It *****could***** have consumed a huge amount of disk space with log files.

This article is for KIS2013 (it looks as if this is the version you have installed now)

This article is for KIS2014

They explain where to look for the log files, so that they can be removed, as well as how to turn off data collection.

And here is one of MANY forum threads about it: http://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?showtopic=274252

Again, I'm not certain what is going on with your system.

AdvancedSetup will help you to sort it out. ;)

I am just providing these resources to assist you, if you are not familiar with this particular KIS "issue".

Cheers,

Your computer is having issues connecting to an update server as well.

At this point I really think you need to follow this advice and have someone assist you in scanning for a possible infection or confirm there is no infection and then repair any broken service that might also be an issue here. There isn't much else we can do in this specific forum as we don't allow other tools like that to be run here.

I would suggest following the advice from the topic here Available Assistance for Possibly Infected Computers and having one of the Experts assist you with looking into your issue.

Thank you
