Hello and :welcome:

Please run the following scanner and send back the logs.

Download DDS from one of the locations below and save to your Desktop
dds.scr
dds.com

Temporarily disable any script blocker if your Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware has it.
How To Temporarily Disable Your Anti-virus, Firewall And Anti-malware Programs

Once downloaded you can disconnect from the Internet and disable your Ant-Virus temporarily if needed.
Then double click dds.scr or dds.com to run the tool.
Click the Run button if prompted with an Open File - Security Warning dialog box.
A black DOS console should open and run for a moment.

  • When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:
    • DDS.txt
    • Attach.txt
  • Save both reports to your desktop
  • Please include the following logs in your next reply as an attachment: DDS.txt and Attach.txt
  • You can ignore the note about zipping the Attach.txt file and just post it or attach it.

That post is showing you how to setup the file exclusions in AVG and MBAM so that they do not conflict with each other.

The files that need to be excluded are shown there as well as a link over to the AVG site if needed on how to setup exclusions in AVG and a user like you using AVG that set this up and has replied back that by doing so everything is working properly now.

I've not personally used this version of AVG but I would assume that you can add the main executable files for the AVG product or the folder.

  • Open Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and click on the Ignore List tab
  • Click on the Add button
  • In the small browse window that opens, navigate to C:\Program Files and click once on AVG and click OK
  • Close Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

Ah... okay well unfortunately there are some items like that where they need to be removed in a special manner and sometimes using a special tool.  We hope to have another tool ourselves that can deal with some of these PUP entries that require modifications to a browser config file later this year.

I would suggest following the advice from the topic here Available Assistance for Possibly Infected Computers and having one of the Experts assist you with looking into your issue.

Thank you

Due to the length of time since that topic was finished it's best you just start a new topic.
