Ran Spybot Search and Destroy, Superantispyware, Mawarebytes, Glary Utlities, CCleaner, Panda Security Scanner and updated SpywareBlaster. Still cannot get to AVG forum of how to resolve not being able to update and cannot download Eset free scanner. Please help this is beyond me and not sure what else to do.

Hi Victor222,

If you are worried about a malware infection, please look at Available Assistance for Possibly Infected Computers   . In this topic it is explained how to get help with computers that might be or are infected with malware.

Considering the symptomps you describe your computer could, in my non-expert opinion, very well be infected with malware. Even if this is not the case, at the 'malware removal'-sub-forum (is explained in the topic I linked) the expert can use tools that are not allowed at this part of the forum.

I hope this helped, if you have any questions, please post & ask.

Hi Victor,

My advise would be to start a topic at the malware-removal forum anyway. Mention what happend (including that the symptoms are now gone) and that you are unsure about whether your computer is infected or not. (AVG turned of that long would make me worried.) The experts over there will probably let you run some programs to make sure your computer is malware free.Once they think your computer is malware free they will tell you and you will have your peace of mind regardless of any malware was found.

Don't forget to stick with the expert helping you until he/she give you the all clear, and then give them a big "thank you" to make her/his day. :)

I hope this helped. Again, if you have any questions, please post & ask.
